The heat found in Amazon warehouses tend to speed up their growth cycle, but once again these buggies are harmless. Since our products are 100% organic and contain no chemicals or pesticides, the buggies like the freshness just like us. Our chilies come straight from the farm and are handpicked and hand-checked, but on occasions, buggies do tend to go along with the product. Our chiles come straight from the farm in Mexico! These chiles are hand-picked and hand-checked both in the farm and before it leaves our facility. 

To keep your chiles fresh, it is best to store them in a cool place and away from light. Chiles that are more colored tend to fade if you leave them out in a well-lit environment. Make sure you leave them in the reusable bag that the chiles come in! To avoid buggies coming out, place them in the freezer. We package our chiles right here in our warehouse. Before packaging, every chile is hand-picked and hand-checked by our employees. We also package them in air tight bags to insure freshness.
